The Bendigo Nursing & Midwifery Simulation Suites project represents a significant investment in La Trobe University’s commitment to advancing healthcare education. This initiative involves the transformation of the HHS1 Building into a state-of-the-art facility featuring 26-bed nursing simulation laboratories and a 6-bed midwifery simulation lab, complemented by modern breakout spaces and advanced teaching areas equipped with integrated audiovisual systems. These enhancements are designed to replicate real-life clinical scenarios, providing students with immersive, hands-on learning experiences that prepare them for professional practice.
Key deliverables include the creation of high-fidelity simulation environments, integration of cutting-edge AV technology, and delivery of flexible collaborative spaces that meet sustainability and accessibility standards. The project faced challenges such as executing construction within a live campus environment, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and managing tight timelines aligned with academic schedules. Videre addressed these challenges through a robust project management framework emphasizing stakeholder engagement, phased delivery, and proactive risk management.
