The Albury/Wodonga School of Nursing project was a significant upgrade to La Trobe University’s regional campus facilities, aimed at delivering modern, high-quality simulation environments for nursing education. The project involved the refurbishment of existing teaching spaces to create advanced nursing simulation laboratories, complemented by breakout areas and AV-integrated classrooms. This initiative supports La Trobe’s commitment to regional healthcare workforce development and provides students with immersive, real-world clinical training experiences.
Key deliverables included the transformation of outdated facilities into state-of-the-art simulation labs, installation of cutting-edge audiovisual technology, and creation of flexible collaborative spaces that meet sustainability and accessibility standards. The project faced challenges such as maintaining academic continuity during construction and managing stakeholder expectations across multiple departments. Videre addressed these challenges through strategic planning, phased delivery, and proactive engagement with stakeholders. By implementing robust project management frameworks and leveraging advanced coordination tools, the team ensured timely completion, minimized disruption, and delivered a future-ready facility that enhances nursing education in the region.
