Templestowe Heights Primary School

about project

The Templestowe Heights Primary School redevelopment was a comprehensive, multi-year modernisation project delivered under the Victorian School Building Authority, transforming the campus into a contemporary, future-focused learning environment. Completed in early 2023, the project included the delivery of a new two-storey STEM and arts centre, refurbishment of existing classrooms, and significant upgrades to learning and outdoor spaces. These works were designed to support contemporary teaching practices, enable a new STEM-focused curriculum, and enhance specialist learning opportunities across the school.

Key elements of the redevelopment included over 1,200m² of new learning space accommodating art, STEM, auditorium and meeting facilities, alongside infrastructure upgrades such as roof, ceiling and lighting replacements, a connecting canopy between buildings, and modern IT and audiovisual integration. External works delivered a new accessible amenities block, a landscaped middle yard with synthetic turf, and a multi-age playground incorporating sensory equipment, collectively increasing school capacity by up to 125 students and supporting long-term growth within the local community.

Stakeholder Involvement including Public Sector Agencies

A range of stakeholders have contributed to this project, including the VSBA, Templestowe Heights Primary School, the Templestowe Heights Primary School Council, the Manningham Council, and members of the local community. Videre has played an integral role in stakeholder management throughout the design and construction phases of the project.

Project Outcomes

The project was successfully delivered as a high-quality, future-ready education facility that significantly enhances learning outcomes, specialist teaching capability, and student wellbeing. The upgraded campus now supports increased enrolment, flexible learning, and a strong STEAM curriculum while aligning with the VSBA’s vision for innovative and inclusive school environments.
