Flemington Community Hub & Debneys Park

The Djerring Flemington Hub, developed in partnership with the Victorian Government, marks a significant upgrade to the Debneys Park sporting precinct. Replacing a 60-year-old pavilion and community centre, this modern double-storey facility now serves as a vibrant anchor for local sporting clubs and community groups. The precinct boasts enhanced sporting infrastructure, including basketball courts, cricket nets, a park pavilion, and comfortable spectator seating for adjacent ovals. These upgrades support a wide range of recreational activities and promote active community engagement.

Inside the hub, the emphasis on community connection and versatility is clear. The building features classrooms, activity rooms, a spacious hall and lounge, a recording studio, and consulting and office spaces. Amenities such as a canteen, commercial kitchen, acoustically treated areas, and well-appointed change facilities cater to diverse user needs. Outdoor enhancements include a newly designed entry court, BBQ and meeting areas, and engaging play spaces-all designed to foster inclusion, learning, and wellbeing for the local community.
