Seaford North Primary School

about project

The Seaford North Primary School project is a major redevelopment initiative under the Victorian School Building Authority, aimed at creating modern, flexible learning environments that support contemporary teaching practices. The project involves the construction of new facilities and refurbishment of existing spaces to deliver state-of-the-art classrooms, collaborative learning zones, and landscaped outdoor areas. This upgrade enhances the school’s capacity and functionality, ensuring it meets the growing needs of the local community while aligning with VSBA’s vision for innovative and inclusive education.

Key deliverables include the development of new learning spaces, integration of advanced audiovisual technology, and creation of outdoor areas designed for active play and community engagement. The project faced challenges such as managing construction within a live school environment, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and adhering to strict timelines to minimise disruption to students. Videre addressed these challenges through detailed staging plans, proactive stakeholder engagement, and robust risk management strategies. By leveraging advanced planning tools and sustainability-focused solutions, the team ensured timely delivery, compliance with VSBA standards, and the creation of a future-ready educational facility that fosters student success.

Stakeholder Involvement including Public Sector Agencies

Various stakeholders have been involved in this project, including the VSBA, Seaford North Primary School, the Seaford North Primary School Council, South-East Victoria Region, Frankston City Council and Victorian Aboriginal Education Association (VAEAI). Videre has been pivotal in managing stakeholder engagement and relationships from the design phase through to construction phase.

Project Outcomes

Given the disciplined financial oversight and real-time tracking of project status, contingency was carefully protected and managed throughout the delivery of the works. As a result of the strong contingency position of the project, the team was able to explore opportunities to incorporate additional scope enhancements that will deliver further benefits to the school community.
